Smiley’s Kombucha journey began several years ago when a friend turned up to a party with a bottle of tart, fizzy, fermented tea. Smiley liked it immediately. As an athlete Smiley started researching the health benefits of probiotics and gut health and started producing one-gallon batches shortly thereafter. Smiley learned everything he could about brewing and the science of kombucha, creating innovative flavors from locally sourced and foraged ingredients. After lots of product research (tasting) and encouragement from friends and family, Sun Valley Kombucha was born in 2023.
